Phaffft.... I once though that I would havve a summer free of the infamays of radioshack, a summer where I could be free of answering "when do you close" and "my DVD player won't work".... but alas... it seems that my poorness has cought up to me, and I am at the shack once again. I don't really need any extra income right now either... grrr... I have started wholesale looking for something better for fall... hopefully I don't have another year of retail in my future... In other news, my car has decided that now is the time to misbehave. The "check engine" light came on last night, now I get to take it to the shop so that it can get looked at. At least it picked a good time for it to go out, as I am acutally making money right now. I can only imagine what would have happened if it deceded to go out during last winter break. :S As it stands, I am going to have t checked out on saturday to figure out what is wrong with it. OK, this is an ongoing thing, so this is going to be refered to again, but as alot has happened already I'm going to post this to my blog for those of you out there that care about the happenings in my life... It all started about a week ago.... It was a normal night at my place, I was programming for my computer security class in jeans and a t-shirt, you know normal around the house but wouldn't want to go out clothes. I was summoned to the door by my roomate who said that there was someone there for me, which was odd considering that it was seven at night and everyone that I know personallyu would call my cell before dropping by. When I got to the door, I was greeted my a man in his early 30's who introduced himself as being from ZoneLabs (the maker of a windows firewall, for thouse of you not into computer stuff) and was wondering if I would be interested in working for them for the summer. Phaaaffft... It is soooo slooooow today. (at work that is) I kinda wish I wasnt here today, but I gotta work or I cant eat and all that.... NOTE TO SELF: check when sluglug is holding an installfest... The more I work here the more engineering students I meet. That is one good thing about working here, even when it is dead slow. :) Ahhh well. It is good to be going back to school... Last week sometime I was invited to Radioshack\'s \"peak of performance\" meeting, for \"some sort of award\". Today was the day of the meeting, and started out at a nice and early 6am. I drove over the hill to be there by 9am, and found out that apparently the meeting was mainly for managers. Now normally I don\'t have any probalem with hanging out with others in the company for various company functions, but right now I really don\'t want any more responsibility in the company... That and it was kind of awkward to be surrounded by only people who are supposed to be in charge of you, none of whom you know, who aparently all know each other. They did go over some nice things there though. Sprint officially announced that they will have a streaming video phone later this summer (drool), but nothing more about that.
